Today I wear a few hats, all of them by choice. I’m the founder and principal advisor of netrii, where a network of senior practitioners helps businesses make real AI decisions. I’m a co-founder and director of Stone Arch Collective, a practitioner-owned AI cooperative in the Twin Cities. And I’m a co-founder of The Thinking Spot, a science-focused independent bookstore in Wayzata, Minnesota.
That last one is not an honorary title: a real share of my time and attention goes into the store’s operations, marketing, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy — the unglamorous work of making an independent bookstore thrive. It’s also where the book notes in the Writing Delta were first published.
I teach applied AI to engineering and product leaders through the University of Minnesota’s Technological Leadership Institute — agentic AI, trustworthy AI, AI in healthcare and medtech — and serve as an industry advisor to Minnesota State University Mankato’s MS in Artificial Intelligence program.
Service is a through-line, not a side note. A significant part of every week goes to the Shreya R. Dixit Memorial Foundation, where I serve as Executive Director — the foundation works to end distracted driving. I guide the Dabhoi Community Foundation’s chief executive and board on applying AI to improve outcomes for its students and learners, serve on the board of the India Association of Minnesota, and run AI and engineering workshops for young people at the bookstore.
If there’s a thread through all of it, it’s this: everywhere I go, the people around me get better at using AI — and I get better at understanding minds.
